One Dublin wants to ensure families who are experiencing a hardship can still enjoy the holiday season. That’s why we connect community sponsors with families in need to make their holiday season bright.

About the holiday programs

ADOPT-A-FAMILY

One Dublin’s Adopt-A-Family program is for children in the Dublin City School district who are experiencing a temporary hardship.

Identified by school counselors, children must be a high school Senior or younger to participate. Each child will provide a wish list and will receive gifts with a combined value of up to $100 (no gift cards), along with a $50 grocery card for the family to use towards their holiday meal.

Families can participate for 5 years but must reapply every year.

To participate in the Adopt-A-Family program, please reach out to your school counselor.

ADOPT-A-SENIOR

One Dublin’s Adopt-A-Senior program is designed to bring a little cheer to Seniors age 62+ or who are experiencing hardship, are isolated, or lonely. Our goal is to bring a little holiday cheer to their lives!

This program supports seniors at a local community that provides affordable housing to seniors. Approximately 49 residents will participate in our program.

Each senior will provide a wish list and will receive gifts with a combined value of up to $50 (no gift cards).

Become a community sponsor

Sponsors can select how many children or seniors they would like to support and will receive wish lists for the sponsored recipients within 2 weeks of registration.

Sponsors select the items they would like to purchase and wrap them with a blank name tag.

Sponsors will have the opportunity to deliver the presents themselves or have One Dublin deliver them on their behalf.

Gift delivery is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 9-11 am.

Unable to Sponsor? Consider “Adopting” a Family in a Different Way

  • Toiletries: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes (individually packaged), Deodorant, Feminine Hygiene (pads or tampons), Razors, Shaving Cream, Bar Soap (individually packaged), Shampoo for people of color,

  • Baby Items: Baby toiletries (such as shampoo, soap, lotion), Diapers - size 5 and 6, Pull-Ups - size 3T/4T and 4T/5T, Baby Wipes

  • NEW Underwear: Women's briefs- all sizes (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10), Men's - all sizes (S, M, L, XL, and XXL), Boy's - most needed sizes M, L and XL, Girl's - most needed sizes 14 and 16
